Photo help

One of my main weaknesses(one of many) is wildlife photography.

Lately there have been a lot of different animals around my house; mainly birds. The birds are so beautiful that(We even have parrots) that I want to get photos of them. The problem is, the slightest noise or movement frightens them away.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
